About the facilitator Nina Frusztajer, MD, MS, DipABLM

Nina attended George Washington University School of Medicine and trained in internal medicine and pathology. She earned a Master’s in Nutrition from Columbia University, where she studied the relationship between nutrition and stress. Her love of nutrition and lifestyle medicine was inspired by her mother’s family in Brazil, where she learned to use food and herbs as medicine and that we are meant to eat fresh whole foods.
Nina is an author and Co-Founder of The Serotonin Diet with Judith Wurtman, PhD. Together they have helped tens of thousands of people struggling with antidepressant-related
weight gain and emotional eating curb uncontrollable cravings, lose weight, and feel better. She is also proficient in several languages, a mom of three college students, and a certified yoga instructor.
